Today, Apple announced a full redesign of their MacBook lineup (except the 17-inch). The new MacBooks and MacBook Pros feature a brand-new look, made of aluminum and featuring a glass screen and touchpad with no button.

The first FTX of the school year took place over the weekend. I jumped onto a bus and went to Fort Sill’s WLC AO, known as Camp Eagle. The FTX concentrated on land navigation skills. The battalion ran two day land navigation lanes and two night land navigation lanes. Land navigation has the highest consequences at LDAC for cadets, so land navigation training is emphasized.
I was extremely busy, so I didn’t get to take as many pictures as I wanted to. Nevertheless, they are online.
Week #3 of school = done. Sort of. I have 2 papers to write and 3 exams to study for, so maybe week #3 was just the prelude for week #4.
Since the news channels won’t ever report news and all they’ve done lately is throw weather information down our throats… we’ve been watching Ike slowly crawl towards Oklahoma. This week has been mostly sunny, with some rain Tuesday and Wednesday. Ike promises to bring up to 8 inches of precip to our area, with some areas of Arkansas predicted to receive upwards of 15 inches. 15 inches! That’s more than we get in 6 months.
Next weekend I’ll be heading out to Ft. Sill for the first FTX of this school year. Unfortunately, I’m the company CO right now and will be throughout the FTX. It’s a pain in the neck having to keep up with so many kids, but it’s part of the learning process for me and everyone else. So, keeping that in mind, I bite my tongue and drive on. I’ll be taking my camera (and a plastic bag).
