Yesterday the Sooners hosted the Big Red Machine from Nebraska. These two teams both have old, winning histories with lots of championships.
OU didn’t take any time getting the scoring started, racking up 28 points in less than 6 minutes.
The final score was 62-28. ESPN has a great wrap-up.

Last night, Ashleigh & I stayed up to watch the women’s gymnastics individual all-around competition. After watching the U.S. struggle and receive a silver medal in the team, I was a little worried for the two U.S. competitors, Nastia Luikin and Shawn Johnson.
Nastia Luikin killed it. She displayed a dominating performance, sticking landings and showing the world how a gold medal winner should perform. Shawn Johnson did well too, performing strongly and earning the silver medal, giving the U.S. the top two medals.
Oh yeah… some dude named Phelps is doing well too.
The Texas Rangers’ outfielder hit a record 28 homers in the first round, sending balls through the night air that crashed into the upper deck and bleacher seats in right field. At one point, Hamilton connected on 13 consecutive cuts. He hit home runs more than 500 feet, including his longest, 518 feet.
