I stayed up last night as long as I could, and just before going to bed I saw CNN call the election for Barack Obama. Waking up this morning, I see that the election was a landslide win for Obama, even though the popular vote is within 10 million.
It’s no doubt that history was made with the 2008 Presidential Election. Never before has the United States had a black President. And with this new Democrat leadership comes Democratic majority control of the Senate, which will allow Obama to get lots of change done within his first year.
I have only a small idea of what the future holds, and I won’t lie: I’m a little nervous. Obama has been known to be an advocate of things I’m not: stronger gun control laws and smaller military budget. But, I know that this country needs to start fresh with new leadership and new ideas, and I’m willing to see this thing through.
So, congratulations to Sen. Barack Obama and his family, and soon we’ll see what kind of President he will be.

We did it! We’ve survived our first year together, and now we get to eat our cake!
So, what’s new? We’ve experienced a military ball, moved into a new place, got a new addition to our family, and made silly faces.

Thanks to Ashleigh’s dad and my dad, Ashleigh and I are moved into our new place. It’s a duplex with 250 more square feet (plus a one-car garage), and the cats love it. We’re exhausted, but we’re headed over to the old place today to clean get it ready to turn in the keys.
Pictures are here.

Trent Reznor shocked a lot of people with the surprise release of an instrumental album that took 10 weeks to make. Ghosts I-IV is a fluid ballad, featuring 36 tracks.
NIN offer multiple purchasing options, including the first 9 tracks for free, full digital download for $5, 2xCD set with download for $10… even vinyl!
I purchased the 2xCD set and just downloaded the digital files. Each song features different artwork, and with the downloaded music came wallpapers (widescreen and standard), web graphics, and a PDF booklet.
