A look back on the creative process.
Yesterday I joined Ashleigh’s cousins Jon & Justin and played in my first softball tournament. We played 7 games, starting around 9am. Although I played baseball thru high school, I’d never even thrown a softball before.
Our team played in the ‘E’ league: almost all the players on our team had played baseball or softball, but we’d never played together; therefore, we were thrown into the beginner league. We ended the tournament with a 6-1 record, with 3 run-rule victories. I played left-center (slow-pitch softball allows 10 players on the field; 4 outfielders) and batted cleanup in every game.
I was surprised with how well I played, since I haven’t played ball in over 4 years. Our team won the tournament, receiving a trophy and a t-shirt.
I hope I get to play softball even more. It feels good getting back on the field.
