Not my bike!

IMG_0937
The good news: minor injuries. The bad news: wrecked bike.

Saturday afternoon I was involved in a motor vehicle accident. I was heading down a sidestreet, on my way to the interstate, when a taxi jumped out in front of me. I couldn’t swerve left [oncoming traffic] or right [cars blocking turn], so I collided with him.

My bike’s a mess. The front forks are bent, and the front & side fairings are toast.

Besides the scrapes I have a slight fracture in my heal. It’s not painful though… except when I walk. Hopefully this crash will reach a resolution much more quickly than the last.

Oh yeah. Click the photo to look at the rest of the pics.

Sooo sleepy

Between my 2 jobs, it feels like I never have a day off. The work’s made me very tired. I think I’ll take a day off later this week.

I’ve been listening to Hernan Cattaneo’s latest album, The Sequential. I’m hooked. His beats are sick.

Time for work. Later.

Midweek

It’s Wednesday and the guy on TV said 106 for a high today. The heat’s keeping me trim. So is working 12-14 hour days.

Just when I’d nearly forgotten, Adobe releases Lightroom for Windows. I imported all my photos last night. Tonight will be play time.

Nightcap

I decided to work tonight at the restaurant, and I’m glad I did. The tips were right on.

Work at the restaurant has been getting better & better. I’ve been getting more hours, and I’ve received numerous compliments [which are always flattering]. I get to work 5 more days straight, at least. Maybe 6. But insurance is due…

It’s been in the hundreds lately, both temperature & humidity. I’ve lost 10 pounds since the beginning of summer, probably due to increased exercise, work, & just being outside a lot.

Tomorrow is dance lesson #2. I’m determined to excel. We’ll see… maybe some pics will pop up soon.
