The insurance company has yet to claim liability for their insured’s stupidity. Today is the day I’ve had enough of their stalling. Tomorrow will hail the start of a new campaign to force the insurance company to take responsibility & action.
I’ve been working for over 2 weeks straight, everyday. Maybe 3 weeks. I can’t remember. I haven’t been online to chat with some of you, and I apologize [Marc, that conference call is due!].
Baseball season is starting in about 2 weeks. Although I played baseball for most of my life, I can barely bring myself to watch it on TV [too many commercial breaks]. But I love to attend one in person, and the Redhawks open their season on April 6 [Thirsty Thursday!]. I’m going & you should too.
Thanks for the Box.net invite Richard. I had one awhile back, when they were beta. I didn’t know they offered free accounts now.

While I was driving to work this morning, a man failed to yield at a light & I smashed into his pickup. I pulled off to the shoulder & started making phone calls. He pulled over then drove off again. Luckily, someone called the police station with his license plate number and the local police were able to track his info down. I’m just relieved that my truck’s damage is going to be paid for.
Here’s the rest of the pics.
update: The preliminary estimate declared my truck a total loss, stating the repairs would be nearly $4000. I’m okay with it being a total; I’ve been wanting to get a car with better gas mileage. But I’d be cool with my truck getting repaired too: it runs great. I couldn’t have asked for a more dependable vehicle.
update #2: Here’s how it ended.

Bad news: I left the camera at home when I went out to celebrate. Not intentionally. I’m starting to get annoyed with my consistent forgetfulness.
I had a great birthday celebration. Some friends & I went out to eat at a great seafood restaurant. I had the night’s special: Tropical Mahi in a citrus glaze. Very good. Then we were off to meet up with some other people at VZD’s. Someone told me VZD’s is one of Oklahoma’s oldest bars. Finally, we all met up again at Edna’s, near Belle Isle. And this place was alive. I ran into tons of people I knew and made a ton of new friends.
Today’s the 5th, and while I’d like to continue my birthday celebration all month [which I will strive to do anyway], it’s time to go back to work. Life rolls along.

Midnight. I’m 21. And thus, the countdown is concluded.
What to do. I’m going out to celebrate. I got someone to cover my shift at the restaurant, to the dismay of my mother ["You don't work enough!"]. Only turn 21 once, they say. Cheers to them.

I’ve had four days off from the restaurant. I didn’t notice til today. And I’ve enjoyed it, since I thought I was getting fed up. I’ve been working though, helping a friend trim some houses. With yesterday & today being in the 80s, work has been great.
The countdown rolls along: 24 hours…
