Coldplay concert

Tonight I saw Coldplay live. The show was fantastic. I was going to take my camera, but I remembered how bad security was last time I went to a concert [and they didn't allow personal photography] and left it in the truck. Great news: the security team didn’t care about cameras. Once again I missed the memo.

It’s warming up. Supposed to be mid-80s Wednesday. And it smells like summer. I can’t wait.

This bummed me out. Bad year for the ‘boys.

A Scanner Darkly

I know Keanu can’t act, but I’m still a huge fan. Keanu is one of my favorite actors, and he does it all [saving the world twice]. Plus with a supporting cast including Robert Downey Jr., Woody Harrelson, and Winona Ryder, what’s not to love?

A Scanner Darkly opens July 6. Here’s the trailer.

Winter strikes

The harshest cold front of winter struck the other day. Temperatures went from mid-60s at noon to around freezing five hours later. Last night rain and sleet fell, freezing to the roads as the temperatures plunged into the teens overnight, creating an icy mess over all roads. It’s nice to have the precipitation, as we had a bit of a dry spell for quite some time.

Nothing new

I keep going to a social gathering, wondering what the attraction is… hoping the people that go aren’t so hypocritical & self-righteous. But they are.

I worked right through the ‘holiday’. Valentine’s Day is such a worthless holiday. Couples shouldn’t need a day to express their love for each other. And society shouldn’t deem it necessary for people to spend so much money on each other. It’s just another consumer holiday, only benefiting business.

I’m hooked on the song Soul Meets Body by Death Cab For Cutie. It’s been on repeat for a couple days. Thanks to Mark for turning me on to the song.
