Emotions

Unequal Is it so much to expect? All I ask for is intellectual consciousness. All I get is annoying redundance.

It’s still amazing to me how stubborn some people can be. The truth can be all around them, yet they try to brush it aside as if it doesn’t exist. For what? Pride. Silly, petty pride.

Aside from these frustrations, I’ve had the privelage of engaging in interactive discussions among my friends. The thought of going to a large, intellectual(?) college in fall is fueling my brain. Honestly, I’m restless, ready to go, yet all isn’t set. The opportunity to uproot, although only half an hour’s drive away, is stimulating me. Yet, I’m still fearful.

Music. Music. Music! I can’t get enough. Encompassing.

4.9 arrives

Apple announced the latest iTunes release, version 4.9. This version boasts podcast support. It’s about time! They’re going all out, even creating a podcast directory and writing support pages for podcasting with Garageband.

Apple also announced the upcoming merge of the iPod & iPod Photo lines into one singular, white line, sporting full-color screens for photos & album artwork. From Apple’s Hotnews:

The iPod and iPod photo lines are merging, creating a single line of white iPods that all feature color displays with the ability to view album artwork, photos and play slideshows in stunning color. The simplified iPod lineup features a 20GB model, holding up to 5,000 songs priced at just $299 and a 60GB model, holding up to 15,000 songs priced at $399.

This move seems to stem from the steady decrease of iPod sales, largely because of the affordability of the iPod Mini & the rather insignificant price difference between the iPod & iPod Photo.

Che

The Motorcycle Diaries The Motorcycle Diaries is, simply… motivational. Gael García Bernal portrays a young Ernesto Guevara like no one else could. This movie, inspired by Guevara’s & friend Alberto Granado’s letters of their adventures throughout South America. During this adventure, Guevara is inspired to do something for the people, becoming a major player in the Cuban Revolution.

If you haven’t seen the movie, it’s definitely not one to miss.

Longhorn, IE7 = RSS

Microsoft has officially announced that both Windows Longhorn & Internet Explorer 7 will support RSS.

Says Internet Explorer General Manager Dean Hachamovitch:

We want RSS everywhere, RSS is so powerful I want it in more than just the browser and the aggregator. I want it everywhere.

BF disappointment

Battlefield 2 I was perusing the Internet this afternoon on my lunch break, and I saw BestBuy had Battlefield 2 in-stock… a day early. So, I called to confirm and confirm they did. When I drove the 35 minutes through traffic to BestBuy to pick it up, a different guy told me that although they had it in-stock, they were unable to sell it til the 22nd. I told him that some dude told me on the phone they could sell it today. He said that guy didn’t know anything, and he wasn’t going to sell me it today. What a lovely waste of time & effort. Thank you, BestBuy, for making my life so wonderful… wonderfully painful.

Until tomorrow…

update: I’d write a post about how Battlefield 2 is, but the title was already taken by this one. In BF1942 (the first game), the game was centered around the singleplayer aspect, yet still had a great multiplayer interface. BF2 totally destroyed the singleplayer. No campaigns, no anything… just instant action. And the multiplayer? It’s just like another squad-based FPS, America’s Army. Live tracking, stats, etc. Definitely, definitely not worth the money.
