School has taken off. I am in 21 of the 24 credit hours for this semester, and the 7 classes are going full bore. I have assignments due every day, and I have to read at least 6 books – in addition to textbooks – by the end of the semester. But hey… I did this to myself.
Sarah and I went to visit Ashland Gardens, a wedding ceremony place in the city. We booked a date for a small ceremony – May 22. We’re both excited about being able to share this with family and close friends.
Sarah got a preliminary date for training: July 6. It’s good and bad – good because she won’t be going back to Ft. Lewis to chaperone cadets for two months; bad because she has to report on Braeden’s birthday. This will be the second consecutive birthday that she’s missed, but we both understand that it’s part of the job. I haven’t got my dates yet – I still have to place a call to my branch manager and figure some things out.
It’s Super Bowl weekend, and we’re having chips & queso, Buffalo Wild Wings, and plenty of beer. Go Colts!
The other day while Sarah & I were driving, she let it slip: she got us tickets to see John Mayer the weekend after my birthday! I was both surprised and immediately excited – I’ve wanted to go to his concert since I heard about the OKC stop last Fall.
Needless to say, we’ve been listening to lots of John Mayer lately just to make sure we’re 100% ready in March.
My intersession classes are almost over, and I’ll be relieved. Between my 2 classes, I have 2-3 quizzes, 4 papers, and 6 forum posts due per week. This week I also have 2 term papers and a 50-question cumulative quiz due. Then, I get a 3-day weekend to get ready for my biggest challenge yet: 24 credit hours.
Sarah & I have been trying to plan our Spring Break. It’s our last SB, so we want to do something relaxing and fun. We decided on driving to Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio – see some friends, go to Sea World, hit the town. Both of us are already excited to get away for a little while and catch our breath.
